To be an evangelizer, we must work to become the best the Christians we can be - and to use our faith to help others. Our faith teaches that we are all unconditionally loved by God. This “Good News” helps us assist others who have been hurt by the world around us. For me being a Christian is less about cautiously avoiding sin and more about courageously and actively doing God’s will.
Former Protestant Pastor, Scripture Scholar, and Catholic Author Scott Hahn points out in his many writings the importance of the theological idea of covenantal relationships. Covenantal relationships are more than business or “quid pro quo” relationships because they establish sacred kinship. We believe through the power of God and the Sacrament of Baptism that we are made a part of God’s family. We, Catholics, believe that everyone who has received the Sacrament of Baptism become sons and daughters of God with the Eucharist being our family meal.

With a desire to help everyone grow deeper in our faith and to become bolder signs of God’s love and stronger bridges that heal all wounds, I want to invite you to participate in our Covenant Nights.
On the third Sunday of the month our parishes will:
“In a world so torn apart by rivalry, anger, and hatred, we have the privileged vocation to be living signs of a love that can bridge all divisions and heal all wounds.” - Fr. Henri Nouwen
I believe that these Covenant Nights will help you grow by engaging you and your family in five key faith catalysts: Sound Teaching, Private Devotion, Opportunities for Service, Improving Relationships and creating inspirational circumstance.
I would like to end my letter to you today with one last piece of encouragement by sharing with you a quote from James C. Collins, author of Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap...And Others Don't: “Greatness is not a function of circumstance. Greatness, it turns out, is largely a matter of conscious choice, and discipline.” Please make the conscious choice to seize this opportunity to grow in your faith.
Please RSVP by calling your parish office or by filling the online form.
Thank you and God bless,
Fr. Thomas M. Pastorius
