Deanery 2Our parish is a community, under the care of our pastor. It is the place where we do three things, on a regular basis:
- gather for the Sunday celebration of the Eucharist
- learn and teach Christ's saving doctrine
- practice the charity of the Lord in good works and brotherly love:
As members of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, both Epiphany of Our Lord and St. James the Greater are part of a larger group of parishes that serve the area, known as Deanery 2.
Deanery 2 contains many parish church communities similar to ours, as well as a number of chapels, personal parishes, and two oratories.

The Northern Vicariate
All of Deanery 2 is part of the Northern Vicariate.
There are three vicariate offices in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. A vicariate is a common Church structure which is comprised of a group of parishes within the Archdiocese that is defined by geographic region for the purposes of parish support and administration.The Northern Vicariate contains 55 parishes and is led by an episcopal vicar and two deans.
Together, we all make up one, holy, Catholic and apstolic church dedicated to serving the people of St. Louis.
