The “Dogtown” neighborhood of St. Louis has been home to people of Irish heritage for many generations.
St James the Greater was originally established as a missionary outpost of St. Malachy Parish, located in the Mill Creek Neighborhood.The feast of Saint Patrick is still an important part of our neighborhood’s culture and celebrations! Each year, the parish celebrates with a Special Mass and Kickoff Celebrations on Saint Patrick’s Day Eve and the Annual Ancient Order of Hibernians Saint Patrick’s Day Parade on Monday, March 17, 2025
