Did you know? Deacons are ordained as a sacramental sign to the Church and to the world of Christ, who came "to serve and not to be served." A deacon, in virtue of his sacramental ordination and through his various ministries, is a servant in a servant-Church.
Our parishes are blessed to be served by three permanent deacons that assist Fr. Tom, the pastor, and the Parish Leadership Team with a variety of activities and ministry work.
For men of both parishes, please prayerfully consider if a vocation to the Permanent Diaconate might be something that you are being called to. The Office of the Permanent Diaconate is asking that interested men attend one of the Information Nights to begin exploring a vocation the Permanent Diaconate.
Upcoming Information Nights will be held:
Wednesday, October 23, 2024, 6:30 PM Monday, October 28, 2024, 6:30 PM
Both meetings will be held at Cardinal Rigali Center. All meetings will begin at 6:30 PM. Wives of men considering this vocation are strongly encouraged to attend.
For more information or to reserve a spot at the meeting, please contact the Office of the Permanent Diaconate at 314.792.7433.
