“It is not sufficient, however, simply to have a "warm body" filling a given role. Those engaged in liturgical roles need to be well-prepared for those roles and to know how to carry them out with reverence, dignity and understanding. Obtaining the proper preparation requires a further gift of time on the part of the person being prepared as well as on the part of those in the parish responsible for the training of liturgical ministers.” – United States Catholic Bishops Epiphany of Our Lord and St. James the Greater Parishes will begin offering monthly Liturgical Ministers training for those who wish to be Extraordinary Ministers, Lectors, and Ushers/Greeters. These ministry training will take on the third Sunday of the month at Epiphany following the 10:30Mass in January, March, May, July, September, and November. They will be held at St. James the Greater parish on the third Sunday of the month after the 8:00AM Mass in February, April, June, August, October, and December. To register for a class please go to the website or call the parish office.
