linewnWe are excited to share that St. James the Greater will be offering new programs and services for its 60+ members in 2025 via partnership with Lindenwood Area Senior Ministry (LASM). LASM is an ecumenical partnership of churches that seek to enhance the quality of life of older adults in their congregations.
St. James’ sister parish, Epiphany, has been a part of LASM since its inception in 2006. Epiphany members have benefitted immensely from being a part of this organization and we are confident that St. James’ parishioners will as well. Through this new partnership registered parishioners of St. James that are aged 60 and better will have access to the following services and members of all ages will have the opportunity to engage as volunteers!
• Lindenwood Area Senior Transportation: Volunteer drivers transport seniors to medical appointments
• Saturday Servants: volunteers provide minor home repairs, maintenance yard work and basic home adaptations that increase safety and add to neighborhood beautification
• Case Management: LASM staff social workers provide one-on-one assistance and expertise enabling seniors to access federal, state, and local resources and benefits.
• Educational Programs: guest speakers on topics of interest for aging adults
• Social Engagement Activities: organized day trips, musical entertainment and fellowship luncheons
• Stephen Ministry: volunteers provide one-on-one Christian support, listening and prayer
